I'm from Vancouver, British Columbia Canada and have enjoyed taking photos for over 35 years. All photos on this site are digital and are of nature, people, scenery, abstracts and anything that interests me. Most have been taken during my walks, hikes and travels.
Philip Barrs Photography's purpose is to stimulate your visual sense in a way that is unique by my vision and techniques. I work with a Nikon D80 that is now four years old. I have a 18 to 135mm DX and a 70 to 300mm VR NiIkkor lens. All photos are shot in RAW format and workflowed in Capture NX2.
I shoot mostly freehand and braced. I do prop the camera and use a tripod on occassion. I also like shooting panoramas and my current panorama stitch program is Microsoft ICE. My art of photography is for your visual enjoyment. Hopefully I have tickled your visual sense. I update the photo database regularly so come back to see what's new. Comments appreciated.
